Ms.Samantha James
Owner/ Director
Ms.Samantha Pulsifer-James is a Mom and Wife who's originally from NH. She began dancing at a young age and has had the opportunity to dance and train in multiple styles of dance in New York, Africa, London, Boston, and more.
She has had the opportunity to be an instructor at the Legendary Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio. She has always had a passion for dance, and making a positive impact on todays youth that she new someday she would open a studio of her own and spread the love of the art. SDA was opened in Chatsworth, CA in 2018.
Ms. Samantha is YPAD certified and a proud member of More Than Just Great Dancing. She aims to bring the best dance education to the Los Angeles Valley area and welcomes everyone with open arms and a big smile!
Jacob Bower
Coach
Jacob grew up in San Jose, California. He found his love for dance at the age of 15, and had the natural abilities to do so. He immediately started working hard, and quickly excelled in his craft.
Jacob started to train in acrobatics and contortion and loves being an artist. Before moving to LA he was working as an acrobatic instructor/choreographer at numerous studios in the Bay Area.
He recently moved to LA and he's excited to bring more positivity to the dance community, and that all starts in the studio.
Ms. Christa Wallin
Ms. Christa has been born and raised in Southern California. She started off dancing at the age of 3 at her pre-school. When she got older she ventured into theater and color guard, but dance was where her heart belonged.
At the age of 14 she joined a dance studio for the second time in her life. She trained, as well as, competed in different styles of dance in her studio time.
After High School she joined Fullerton College's Dance program and expanded her knowledge of dance.
Ms. Christa is very excited to share her passion for dance and everything she has learned with the students at Sampul Dance Academy.
Ms.Maddie Schneider
Maddie is a dance artist and educator in the Los Angeles area. She holds an M.S in Kinesiology, Dance Science. She specializes in teaching Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Floorwork, Partnering and Body Awareness.
Maddie has trained intensively under J.M. Rodriguez, Gracie Whyte, Laura Berg, Paula Thomson, Evan Rosenblatt, Bethana Rosenthal, Dasha Tertova, FLOCKWorks, Volta Collective, Marc Spaulding, Genevieve Carson, and Kyle McHargh. Since 2019 she has been actively dancing and choreographing for CSUN’s annual dance concerts. Her work can also be found in numerous studio, colleges and companies including California Lutheran University, Cantinas Arts Foundation, Shepherd Church, and Studio 1 Dance Academy.
Maddie is also passionate about bridging the art and science of dance as she enjoys sharing her rigorous research experience and anatomical knowledge with her students. She looks forward to providing each student with a warm and nurturing experience that caters to their individual goals!
Ms.Eliana Gonzalez
Eliana Gonzalez is a Sampul Alumni and has been dancing since she was 3 years old.
She has trained in many different styles of dance like tap, ballet, jazz, and contemporary.
She's currently a student at Cal State Fullerton where she's studying biology to some day become a Pediatrician.
She loves watching her students grow each and every week and is happy to continue being a part of the Sampul family!
Ms. Saryh Deadmon
Ms. Saryh Deadmon is a hip-hop fusion dancer from Southern California who has grown up as a self taught artist. She's now taking the industry route and constantly working on her craft as well as helping train others to develop theirs as well.
She's currently studying Theatre and Dance. She was the 2023-2024 President of Cal State University Northridge Hip Hop Team.
She follows anything that she can adapt to through her passions not only including dance but also video production and the music industry. When she's not teaching class you can catch her behind the desk as our fabulous office manager.
Mr. Ra ricketts
Ra is a talented dancer originally from Philadelphia. He has received extensive training in different styles falling under the Hip-Hop and Funk categories.
At the young age of 13, Ra was already recognized as a student protege by various members of the prestigious Rennie Harris Pure movement.
By age 22, he was touring theaters both nationally and internationally. Ra, also known as FLitz, is an expert in Breakin', Lockin', Poppin', Hip-hop, House music, dance, and history.
He's excited to bring his passion of uplifting the youth to Sampul every Saturday!
Ms. Sasha Dymant
Ms. Sasha grew up in Connecticut and began dancing at the age of 4. She fell in love with movement and studied a variety of dance styles. She went on to train at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City, received her Bachelors degree in Dance and Movement Studies at Emory University, and received her Dance Teacher Certification at the University of Las Vegas. She has taught inside an elementary school classroom as well as recreational and competitive dance studios. She is passionate about working with dancers to expand their skill, confidence, and love for movement.
She continues to hone her teaching, technical, and performance-based skills, as a professional dancer, most recently seen performing on stage with various artists and as a dancer for the Miami Marlins Major League Baseball team.
She is thrilled to bring her energy and love for movement to Sampul Dance Academy.
Mr.David Daniels
Drama Club Director/ Acting Class Instructor
David Daniels has been performing, directing and enjoying theatre since he was a child. He is a graduate of the Las Vegas Academy Of Performing Arts and Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Telecommunication with a Bachelor Of Arts in Broadcast Journalism.
David has been very involved in local theatre for the past 2 decades as both an actor and director. Some productions you may have seen; You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Little Shop Of Horrors, Parade, Willy Wonka and The chocolate Factory, The Wedding Singer, Legally Blonde, Shrek The Musical, Godspell, The Sound Of Music, The Wizard Of Oz, The Drowsy Chaperone, The Addams Family Thoroughly Modern Millie and more.
David especially loves directing youth and teens and helping them become better performers and most of all just love theatre! By day, David is a content producer for the Walt Disney Studios and a dad to two amazing kids Elliott (6 ½) and Eloise (16 Months). David is looking forward to creating a magical experience for everyone who participates in Sampul’s Theatre Program and can’t wait to produce great shows!
Ms. Victoria Chamorro
Ms.Victoria was born and raised in LA, dancing since the age of 3 and a choreographer/dancer with LA Unbound Dance Company. Training in various styles such as Ballet, Lyrical/Contemporary, Hiphop, Jazz Funk, etc., and completed her education with the Royal Academy of Dance graduating High School. She has her Master’s degree in Psychology and Bachelors Degree in Dance Studies from Humboldt State University. She performed in the Rose Bowl parade in 2016, television show Univision, etc. Her first dance choreography was for her high school dance team where she was captain winning first place in Jazz & Pom. Ms. Victoria is excited to train and dance with the students here at Sampul!
Ms. Lily Grigorian
Lily Grigorian has been dancing for 18 years and still counting! She's been introduced to a variety of different styles from such a young age including; ballroom, ballet, folk dances, tap, contemporary and many more. Growing up in the dance world she's been both a performer and a competitor. In 2018 she won the Embassy Ballroom Championships and remained a member of the NDCA. She's excited to be part of this dance family! Continue to pursue the world of dance, one of the most beautiful art forms!
